This Shastock Meg-A-Mute is an EXTREMELY RARE vintage mute that was manufactured in the 1920s and was produced for only a short period of time.
Excellent Original condition. Not restored which is a plus based on the beautiful condition it is in.
Original label in great condition!
Plays beautifully in all registers with that classic 1920s sound!
Its design is based on having a megaphone and straight mute combination which produces a very unique tone quality.
Perfect cone line seal from top to bottom.
Brass rings on top & bottom are tightly secured.
Original corks. Minor cork wear due to age with one cork chip. See pictures. This does not affect insertion seal into the trumpet bell.
