The Gen 2 Trombone Mute Mate
is a tenor trombone mute holder that will keep up to 4 mutes close at hand during performance. The Gen2 design differs from the original Mute Mate Trombone mute holder in that an accessory bag on a 3.25" ring has been
substituted for the 8' rod. The accessory bag may be removed to hold the fourth mute. The Gen2 has two 4" rings for the cup, harmon and plunger, and one 3.25" ring for the straight or cup.
The Mute Mate
is ideal for jazz trombone players and pit orchestra players. It’s great for anyone who wants to stop reaching to the floor each time a mute is called for, who uses up to 4 mutes at a time, who wants to be assured that their mute will not tip and roll across the floor during a quiet moment, who wants to protect their investment in mutes, or who wants to feel comfortable making quick changes between muted passages.
