This is a significantly large and rare size quahog pearl
that measures 14.4 to 14.6 millimeters in diameter.

Quahogs are saltwater clams native to the Atlantic Ocean. They thrive along the North American Atlantic coast from Canada's Gulf of Saint Lawrence to Florida. It's estimated that as many as 1 in 20,000 quahogs may contain a significant pearl. Quahog pearls span in color from lilac and deep purple to tan, brown and creamy white. Lilac and deep purple command the highest price.
